Our approach to good architecture is simple.

In this pursuit, we uphold three fundamental values that guide our work — empathy in our practice, purposefulness in our design, and authenticity in our culture.
San is a derivative of the Chinese character 三 san, which translates to the number 3.
This number reflects the three fundamental values we uphold.

Our practice is empathetic.
Empathy is one of the main drivers of our practice. We believe in its capacity to build genuine connections with you and our collaborators, to create architecture that is both valuable and meaningful. On the surface, we are designers, planners, managers and ideators. But behind the curtain, we are also mediators, interpreters, listeners and story tellers. This puts communication at the core of every creative endeavor.

Our work is purposeful.
We don't want to define our work with a particular style, but we believe in design that is purposeful. To us, this means fully recognizing and understanding your needs, the selected site, and the context that which the project revolves around. We believe that designing with intent results in structures that are beautiful, functional, cost-effective, and sustainable.

Our culture is authentic.
We foster a culture of authenticity, wherein we celebrate transparency, honest expression, vulnerability, and openness within our workspace. We strongly believe that this ethos of genuine belonging permeates all aspects of our work, imbuing each project with a unique and personal touch.

We look at the big picture and show you the potential and possibilities of your project. We help you visualize the look and experience through plans, 3D models and rendered perspectives.

We provide all the plans, drawings, specifications, details and documentation needed to build and actualize the project. We coordinate with different kinds of engineers and experts to make sure that the structure is holistic and efficient. We assist you in finding the right contractor and suppliers for the project.

We make sure that the project is properly and correctly executed through periodic site supervision and constant coordination with the contractor and other involved parties.
